About
The Girls Solidarity Circle Gathering is a collaborative effort between Boston Girls Empowerment Network, USA, Love Your Magic, USA & Milk & Honey Bees, UK and serves to bring Black, Asian, Latino and Indigenous (BIPOC) girls from Boston, Massachusetts, USA together with BIPOC girls in Brixton, London, UK in "Community Solidarity Conversations" to heal, learn and build an international sense of community. In this space, girls 14-18 years old will learn their respective histories of oppression, resilience and cultural assets, grow empathy among members, build a solidarity framework and set best practices locally and internationally on how to effectively work across ethnic lines. These tools are the building blocks of future BIPOC femme leaders that will help them create positive social change in their respective countries. In preparation for the in person gathering, girls met bi-weekly over zoom to work together to build community and explore key social topics.
